Fantastic Stay!
quick service gorgeous decor convenient location
I was impressed by the hotel's quick service and gorgeous decor! The location is convenient to the train station, about a 5-minute taxi ride. I always choose this hotel when I visit the area because I know my stay will be great. I also used the leisure facilities like the pool and jacuzzi..
The room was clean and spacious, but it could use some refurbishment as it looks a little dated.

fantastic!
breakfast variety perfect treatment adult swim
I loved the variety at breakfast and the bar's drink selection. It was awesome. the spa treatment i received was just perfect! i couldn't have asked for a better massage or facial. plus, the adult-only swim times in the pool were such a big bonus.. especially during summer holidays!
the steak i ordered was not presented well.. especially considering its price, i thought it was a shame. it just didn't match up with the rest of the menu's presentation.

the hotel is very central and easily accessible.. plus, it is conveniently located with good access to the a30. there are bus routes nearby, with stops near the hotel, so getting around is super easy.

the staff were amazing and accommodated our big group and dog very well! they took every opportunity to ensure we felt comfortable. they were keen to meet our every need... i loved that!

a decent stay overall
friendly staff comfortable bed needed facilities old fashioned style stale smoke dusty bottle
the staff was friendly. i found a quiet room, and the bed was comfortable. it included all needed facilities (i liked the toiletries). the location provides good access to the a30, useful.
my room was quite far from reception. it was decorated in an old fashioned style (royal blue was prominent). the bathroom smelled strongly of stale smoke. the large water bottle was covered in dust, which i found unpleasant.

damp smell outdated area
I had booked a spa day as a treat. The pool was situated inside. there was a very strong damp smell present. one could see the mould on the ceiling. the gym and the surrounding area felt outdated.

The breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!). The bar staff were very cute. I enjoyed the pool facilities after work.
